Wow, people do read our blog! Here are answers to the questions people have been asking us:

We are at this point planning on going to CIT in the fall. For many different reasons. I could list them all, but I am waiving that option right now! We will head down in the fall, the kids will be able to home school while we are there. That is something that I need to look into more. I think I can keep up with the curriculum that we have decided to use for them. We are more at peace with the decision of going in the fall.

As far as our support, we are still working on that. I had many people ask me in the past week where we are with our support. I know that Phil has as well. People who I don't even know very well are asking us about our support level, it is a good opportunity to tell them about what we are actually going to be doing when we are in Guatemala. Making contacts is always an interesting thing. It seems like we are "spinning our wheels" as Phil says. But we are moving forward. We are learning things here now that God wants us to learn. Things about each other and our family that I think in any other situation we would never know. Trusting in God for all things in every area is such a wonderful thing to be learning.

Some specific prayer requests:
Cabot our son, has been having very bad headaches more and more often and we are taking him to the doctors today. Please pray that the doctor can pinpoint what is giving him these headaches.

My nephew Alex is able to run and jump!! PRAISE!! how exciting to see him only a few months after such an awful accident. they will find out in the next few days when his rods will come out of his legs, which should be sometime next month!

More meetings and contacts. We can't get to Guatemala without support!

Preparing for Rain

We are currently looking into a cross cultural training. We may be going to this in the spring.Check out what we will be doing and see what we will be learning. We are not 100% on when we are going yet. However we are leaning toward the May-June dates. Please be in prayer for us during this descision. The older kids will be done with school by the time we go. The one thing as a Mom that will be hard for me is that Anna will not be able to finish out her year in kindergarten which also means that she will not be able to "graduate". I know this seems like a trivial thing but to a 5 year old I think it is a big deal!

Phil spoke with a person today about housing and as she said to Phil we will have a wing of the building. I guess that is what happens when you have so many kids! We would drive our own vehicle down which will make it possible for us to have a car. The kids seem excited about going to another "state" and it is down south which means warm weather! I think that they forget in NH it is warm in the months of May and June.

We also were givig the offical word this past Sunday at our annual business meeting what our home church will be supporting us. What and exciting time for us! Phil is often saying to me that we need to "prepare for rain" which I think is his favorite line for the movie "Facing the Giants". So, prepare we will so that when we recieve word that we are at 100% we will be able to buy our tickets pack our bags and serve the Lord full time in Guatemala!

So heading to training is one of our little ways to "prepare for rain!".

please continue to pray with us that our support will come in quickly and that we will be able to make a certain decision of when we are to head down to NC.

THANK YOU as always for taking the time to read our blog and to pray with us!

Psalm 27

Reading through Psalm 27 this week I was reminded over and over again about Gods timing. Times like this past year making the decision to go serve our Lord in Guatemala full time has brought forth many emotions. And we are only at the start of this step in our lives. Knowing that God is in control of everything and that nothing comes as a surprise to Him. Being reminded constantly that God in in control and that He hears us when we are overwhelmed with the whole process our cries do not fall on deaf ears.

This is where I am finding myself resting most days when I am overwhelmed. The last verse is one that I need to have posted wherever I look so that I can be constantly reminded.
Psalm 27 :14"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart: Wait I say on the Lord!"
